Uncomfortable faith

when you pass through the waters i i will be with you and through the rivers, they shall not overflow  thee: when you walk through the fire you shall not be burned neither shall th flame kindle upon you. [Isaiah 43v2]
The fact that God is withn you when you walk through thye fire doesnt mean you won't feel the heat; you definately will feel the heat, What God's presence will do for you is make sure that you will not get burnt.
the fact that Peter walked on water with Jesus does not mean his feet did not get wet; they got very wet. Jesuss was there to make sure that he wouldn't drown.

the mistake that most of us make is think that because we have faith all things will be smooth sailing for us and we dont have to be 'uncomfortable' but God knows that when we are uncomfortable we are forced to act to regain the comfort we lost.

The fact of the matter is the circumstances we face will not harm us but they will make us very uncomfortable and they require a Man with the faith that looks not on comfort but on the result at the end of the day.
Joseph's stint in an uncomfortable jail; set him up for his stint in the palace. David's fourteen year stint in the wilderness running awy from Saul set him up for His stint as King and enabled him to rule with wisdom.

Many of us are afraid to trust God fully and go with him into the fire; we have become so preoccupied with our 'comfort' that we are losing out on our destinies. we need to realise that the moments of our 'discomfort' are setting us up for generations......
